SUPPORTED DBMS

dbSQWare, the DBMS operations and maintenance software, now supports 13 of the most widely used and popular database engine types.
The supported versions span a 30-year period, ranging from the early 1990s for some DBMSs (Oracle 7, SQL Server 6.5) to the present day.

dbSQWare supports 10 RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems):
✅️ Oracle, the most popular on UNIX/Linux
✅ SQL Server, developed by Microsoft and primarily deployed on Windows
✅ Teradata, a long-established RDBMS with massive storage capabilities
✅ Sybase, acquired by SAP and a former market leader
✅ DB2 LUW, the distributed system version of the mainframe engine
✅ Ingres, dating back to the 1980s and open source since 2004
✅ MySQL, the most popular open-source RDBMS
✅ MariaDB, a fork of MySQL
✅ PostgreSQL, the most advanced open-source RDBMS
✅ Informix, a relational and object-oriented database management system

and 3 NoSQL systems:
☑️ Cassandra, with its column-oriented structure
☑️ MongoDB, the most popular NoSQL system, featuring an organization document-oriented
☑️ Adabas (Linux version), accessible via the Natural language.

Despite the diversity and heterogeneity of these database engines, dbSQWare enables a unified approach through centralized, consistent management.
